The Similarities in Two Resurrection Stories (Lazarus & Jesus)

John 11 details the account of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. John 20 details the account of Jesus being raised from the dead. Comparing both stories is both encouraging and instructive.
Mary was a very popular name, so it can make these stories confusing.
I list Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus, as Mary (S). S stands for Sister.
I list Mary Magdalene as Mary M.
Before you see the comparisons and lessons below, I’d encourage you to read both chapters.
These stories culminate with one truth and one question: Jesus has power over death. Do you believe? This statement and question are still at the heart of all believers today.
